NACHA is a not for profit association which was earlier known as National Automated Clearing House Association. It does not directly involve in ACH transactions but represents more than 11000 financial institutions through its direct membership as well as regional payments associations. It is engaged in managements, administration, development, as well as governance of the ACH network which is considered as the backbone of the electronic movement of data and money in the United States of America.
