Brown University


Brown University is a private institution located in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. BU is a Ivy League university which was established in 1764. University has graduate school, college, engineering school and Alpert medical school. It is an urban university with its campus spread in 143 acres. University has around 9000 students outh of which more than 6000 are undergraduates while others are post graduates and research students. Academic staff of the university include 680 full time in the subjects of Humanities, Social sciences, Bio / medical, Physical Sciences.

BU seeks diverse applicants from "all walks of life, backgrounds, interests, and cultural heritages" but has "no quotas of any kind".
